Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a passion for delivering a positive shopping experience. Bilingual abilities and experience with technology sales or product demos are considered a plus. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate the POS system accurately for cash handling and credit transactions
- Provide product information, demonstrations, and upselling opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the store remains clean and welcoming
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during busy periods
- Support inventory management tasks, including stock replenishment and product placement
- Apply basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Use effective communication skills to promote store promotions and new products
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish) are a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math operations
- Ability to perform product demos and assist with technical sales when needed
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated time management and phone etiquette skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Multilingual capabilities are highly desirable but not required
- Previous merchandising or retail experience is advantageous
