Openfield Medical Centre is seeking 5 Family Physicians / General Practitioners to provide comprehensive, longitudinal primary care in a community family medicine clinic in Ottawa.
Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start date: As soon as possible
Work location: On site at 770 Broadview Avenue, Ottawa, ON K2A 3Z3

Compensation: Fee-for-service; expected annual gross earnings of $233,752 to $451,418 based on OHIP and applicable schedules; actual earnings vary with patient volume and scope of practice

Duties
- Conduct patient assessments, including histories and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions and injuries
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, including imaging
- Prescribe medications and counsel patients on treatment plans, prevention, and follow-up
- Provide preventive care, screening, immunizations, and chronic disease management
- Perform minor office procedures within scope and competence
- Coordinate referrals and continuity of care with specialists, hospitals, and community services
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in the clinic EMR
- Participate in clinic quality improvement and practice initiatives, as required
Requirements
- MD degree or equivalent
- Licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), or eligible for CPSO licensure by start date
- Eligible for professional liability protection (CMPA or equivalent)
- Eligible to bill OHIP and participate in Ontario physician payment models, as applicable
- CCFP preferred
- Family medicine or primary care experience is an asset
- Canadian experience is not required
