Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Corporate Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have completed Auditor training from the Alberta Construction Safety Association, demonstrating a strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, practices, and auditing procedures. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and stakeholders across all company operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct informal inspections of the office/shop every morning to identify and address potential hazards.
- Perform formal inspections in accordance with company policy frequency to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct incident investigations, complete with comprehensive reports for management, to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the shop and provide guidance on proper usage.
- Complete Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) reporting following any workplace incidents or injuries.
- Liaise with external agencies such as WCB, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), and other relevant authorities to ensure compliance and stay updated on industry regulations.
- Organize and lead safety meetings with all staff members to discuss safety-related matters, share best practices, and promote a culture of safety.
- Conduct safety orientations for new employees and contractors, ensuring they are aware of safety protocols and procedures.
- Provide training to employees on various health and safety topics, including emergency response procedures and safe work practices.
- Perform internal safety audits to identify areas for improvement and monitor adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with site personnel on jobsites as needed.
- Update the safety program annually.
