Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Farm Hand to join our agricultural team, supporting the daily operations of a productive and sustainable farm. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of tasks essential to maintaining healthy crops, livestock, and farm infrastructure. Duties
- Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, and harvesting crops using appropriate horticultural techniques and equipment.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery such as tractors, tillers, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools, machinery, and irrigation systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Use hand tools and power tools for repairs, installations, and general farm upkeep.
- Support livestock care activities including feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring animal health.
- Conduct basic measurements and calculations related to crop yields, irrigation schedules, or material quantities.
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks involving supplies, equipment parts, or harvested produce.
- Follow safety protocols when handling chemicals, operating machinery, or working with heavy equipment.
- Assist with infrastructure repairs such as fencing, drainage systems, or storage facilities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and efficient resource use.
Experience
- Prior experience working on a farm or in an agricultural environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems relevant to farm machinery and irrigation systems is advantageous.
- Familiarity with horticultural practices and crop management techniques is desirable.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as tractors or loaders confidently and safely.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools for maintenance or construction tasks.
- Basic math skills for measuring inputs, calculating areas, or estimating quantities accurately.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and prolonged outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions precisely and work independently when required.
Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
