About us:
For over 25 years Countertops By Design has been specializing in the perfect countertop for any project. As a leading company in the kitchen and bath industry, this business was founded on custom laminate and stone countertops for any retail or commercial project including various offices. Within the past 10 years, we expanded into custom millwork and cabinetry for any kitchen and bath renovation.
About the Role:
As a kitchen designer, you will need to have the experience and knowledge to assist customers with designing their dream kitchen or bath space. This individual must have skills in computer design (2020 or Pro-Kitchens) and product knowledge. This position will be responsible for preparing 3D renderings, design meetings, site measures, client meetings, ordering, project management, and scheduling. In addition, this role will also provide knowledge on various countertop surfaces, ordering and quoting. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with availability for covering Saturdays.
Responsibilities:
- Must have experience in kitchen design and ability to use 2020, sketchup, prokitchens or autocad
- Must understand countertop materials, be able to provide quotes, ordering and organize schedules.
- Ability to understand product knowledge and relay it to customers
- Design layouts using computer design programs to create 3D renderings and measurements for ordering/installation
- Understand product knowledge
- Employing oral and written communication skills by engaging in effective conversations with staff and clients over e-mail, telephone, and face-to-face
- Conduct site measures
- Must have the ability to project manage and understand the renovation process from start to finish (design, ordering, delivery, installation)
- Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, filing, quoting, invoicing, and ordering
- Conduct client meetings with design selections and any layout changes
- Ability to work in a fast paced work environment with the capability to multi-task
- Contribute a positive attitude to the work environment
- Ability to aid in various design selections and knowledge for customers
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

- Kitchen Design: 2 years (preferred)
