JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW
1. Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair vehicles
2. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
3. Diagnose vehicles based on observational and mechanical testing as well as information provided by the customer
4. Provide customers with detailed estimates for repairs and replacements and obtain signature approval prior to commencing work
5. Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and to determine whether any other problems exist
6. Describe vehicle’s condition to customer and answer any follow-up questions
7. File appropriate documentation on each repair
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of 5 years of strong full-time work experience
· Licenced (Red Seal) prefered
· Demonstrated proficiency in written/oral communication (writing, planning, editing, formatting) in the English language
· Experience in customer service is an asset
· MOPIA and/or safety certified an asset
· Ability to establish priorities, work independently, problem solve and proceed with objectives without supervision
· Must be alert and resourceful and be able to interact with a cross section of individuals
· Must have own tools
· Valid class 5 license – plus ability to drive standard and a clean driving record
