Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between ship captains, port authorities, and logistics teams to coordinate vessel arrivals, departures, and cargo operations
- Monitor vessel movements and ensure adherence to schedules, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and review shipping documentation such as bills of lading, manifests, and customs paperwork with precision and attention to detail
- Facilitate communication regarding cargo loading, unloading procedures, and any operational issues that arise during transit
- Coordinate with rigging teams to ensure proper handling of cargo equipment and securement processes on vessels
- Maintain accurate records of vessel activities, compliance checks, and operational reports for audit purposes
- Assist in resolving logistical challenges promptly to minimize delays and optimize shipping efficiency
Skills
- Strong knowledge of maritime shipping procedures, regulations, and safety standards
- Mechanical knowledge related to ship equipment, cargo handling gear, and rigging techniques
