Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, bread, and other desserts with precision and creativity
- Decorate cakes and pastries using advanced cake decorating techniques to meet presentation standards
- Ensure all food preparation complies with food safety and handling regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper packaging of baked items for sale or delivery
- Assist in menu development by suggesting new recipes and seasonal offerings
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods during peak hours
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a baker or pastry chef in a restaurant or bakery setting
- Strong skills in cake decorating, food preparation, cooking, and baking techniques
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or catering purposes
- Excellent attention to detail and creativity in presentation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Kitchen experience within the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential
