Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a passion for the food industry, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Experience in food service and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are highly valued. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards are maintained at all times
- Assist in food preparation and kitchen support as needed
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables promptly during busy hours
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas and adhere to sanitation protocols
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and follow sanitation guidelines
- Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and upselling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Experience with food safety standards and food industry best practices
- Kitchen experience or hospitality background is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
