Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, efficiently handle food and beverage orders, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals eager to learn the food industry. The Server will be responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction through attentive service and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times
- Assist with setting up tables, refilling supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions, special requests, and concerns professionally
- Manage time efficiently during busy periods to serve multiple tables effectively
Skills
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Basic math skills for order accuracy and cash handling
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is highly desirable
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Kitchen experience or familiarity with food preparation is a plus but not required
