JOB OVERVIEW:
The successful EMR Applications Trainer will oversee application support and troubleshooting, coordinate onboarding and offboarding of physicians and staff, develop and deliver comprehensive training programs, administer EMR (Electronic Medical Record) configurations, manage Ministry of Health physician documentation, and support funding initiatives related to digital health programs. This role also serves as a key liaison with internal departments and external vendors to ensure our clinical applications are optimized and staff are well supported.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for Telus PS Suite, Ocean, and other 3rd party clinical applications.
· Develop and deliver training programs and educational resources for physicians, nurses, MOAs, residents and other staff.
· Configure and maintain PS Suite customizations, user accounts, templates, forms, searches, and workflows.
· Administer EMR platform features, including eForms, custom stamps, appointment reminders, and email templates.
· Coordinate application onboarding and offboarding for physicians and staff.
· Manage Ministry of Health physician administration and related documentation.
· Support digital health funding initiatives, reporting, and compliance requirements.
· Communicate application updates, outages, and enhancements to staff.
· Research and evaluate emerging technologies to improve clinical workflows.
· Perform a variety of administrative duties such as privacy auditing and reporting, directory internal resource updates.
Qualifications:
· Strong knowledge of PS Suite EMR, Ocean, and clinical application workflows.
· Experience developing and delivering software training.
· Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities while providing exceptional service.
· Excellent knowledge and adherence to PHIPA and all legislation related to patient and medical records privacy and compliance.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
· Ability to work independently and enthusiasm for being part of a functional team.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
Additional Information:
· Approximately 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday each week with reasonable flexibility and occasional special projects outside of these timeframes
· Position start date is anticipated to be as soon as possible with reasonable notice to current position
