Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical conditions and develop tailored treatment plans to meet individual needs.
- Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies to optimize recovery outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, posture correction, and home exercise programs to support ongoing health.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay updated on the latest physiotherapy techniques and medical terminology to enhance treatment effectiveness.
Qualification & Requirements
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Mentorship available for Resident Physiotherapist.
- Proven experience working in clinical settings with exposure to acute care environments.
- Strong background in physiotherapy with the ability to manage young patients effectively.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to musculoskeletal, neurological, and pediatric conditions.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills and empathy.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Prior experience in hospital or acute care settings is highly preferred.
