We are currently hiring a reliable and hardworking Carpenter Helper to join our team in Oshawa, ON. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with hands-on carpentry experience who are looking for steady work.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform general carpentry work on residential and commercial projects.
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other building materials.
- Install framing, doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, and other fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Repair and replace damaged structures and fixtures.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all workplace health and safety regulations.
- Work independently as well as part of a team to complete projects on schedule.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Carpenter is required.
- Must have your own basic carpentry tools.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials when required.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- CSA-approved steel-toe safety boots and appropriate PPE are required.
