310B AUTO BODY TECHNICIAN - DAY SHIFT
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Manager of Fleet Operations with direction provided by the Chief Auto Body Technician, the position will be responsible for fulfilling the following duties:
- Repair/rebuild bus bodies and nonrevenue vehicles
- Manufacture/fabricate/weld equipment and/or other tools.
- Co-ordinate with mechanics to ensure safety inspections are completed in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Painting buses or body parts as required
- Complete other duties as assigned.
POSITION DETAILS
- Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
- Wage Rate: $44.14 per hour
- Shift: Day Shift; Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm
- Location: 450 Highbury Ave N – Facility
- Vacancy: Replacement
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid 310B Auto Body Technician license
- Holds a G class license with Z air Brake endorsement (mandatory upgrade requirement to a C class license upon commencement of employment)
- Related repair/rebuild bus body experience and ability to work within a team environment
- The ability to deal effectively with multiple priorities
- Familiarity with health and safety practices
- Effective organizational and communication skills
