G&R Kelly Enterprises Ltd. has been providing quality services in the Halifax area and throughout Nova Scotia for 50 years.
We are looking for a licensed truck driver with at least two years experience hauling equipment for a construction company. The ideal candidate is a go getter that likes working outside in a team atmosphere.
Truck Driver:
· Happy working in a team environment and do occasional labor work.
· Must be willing to work flexible hours.
· Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends when needed.
· Transport materials to and from site.
· Transport equipment to construction sites.
· Deliver materials & equipment on time.
· Ensure that the truck is clean and in good condition by doing daily checks.
· Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
· Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
· Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
· Class 1 or 3 Driver’s License
· Air Brake Endorsement
· Clean driving abstract
· Drive Automatic & Manual Transmission Vehicle
· Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
· Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
Experience:
· Driving: 2 year (Required)
· Hands on experience in hauling a float
· Snow removal experience is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
