The Banquet Server assists in setting up, serving, and breaking down event spaces while delivering high quality food and beverage service to guests. They work as part of a team under the direction of the Banquet Captain and Banquet Manager to ensure events run smoothly and meet client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Setup
- Assist with setting up banquet rooms, including tables, chairs, linens, glassware, and utensils
- Arrange table settings according to event specifications and floor plans
- Prepare service stations with necessary supplies before guests arrive
Food & Beverage Service
- Serve food and beverages to guests according to service standards
- Deliver plated meals, buffet items, or passed hors d’oeuvres as required
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
- Refill beverages and accommodate guest requests
Guest Interaction & Service
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Respond to guest needs, questions, and special requests
- Maintain a positive and attentive attitude throughout the event
Teamwork & Communication
- Work closely with the Banquet Captain and other team members
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff
- Follow instructions and support team members during service
Event Breakdown & Cleanup
- Clear tables of dishes, glassware, and utensils after service
- Assist with resetting or breaking down the event space
- Clean and organize service areas after events
Health, Safety & Sanitation
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Handle food and beverages properly to prevent contamination
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment
- Adhere to company policies and safety procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality (preferred but not always required)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical ability to stand, carry trays, and lift items as needed
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Working Conditions:

Pay: $17.60-$19.60 per hour
