Job Summary
The Excavation Foreman is responsible for overseeing all site excavation and earthworks activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and specifications. The Foreman will coordinate site crews, manage equipment use, and maintain compliance with company safety policies and environmental regulations.
What you’ll do
- Supervise excavation crews, equipment operators, and labourers on daily tasks.
- Review project drawings, grades, and schedules to ensure accurate execution.
- Plan daily work activities and allocate resources effectively.
- Monitor progress, productivity, and quality of work on site.
- Coordinate with site superintendent, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure excavation and shoring work meet project design, specifications, and geotechnical requirements.
- Be able to operate the heavy equipment and manage the other staff.
- Have knowledge of Deep excavations and Shoring work.
