About the Role
MWI Metal Roofing Ltd. is looking for a dependable Machine Operator to join our production team. You’ll operate and maintain metal‑forming machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality output. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude and a strong focus on precision and safety.
Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, and operate production machinery.
- Monitor machine performance and identify issues or defects.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
- Load raw materials and oversee production flow.
- Conduct quality checks and record production data.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical problems to reduce downtime.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of experience operating manufacturing machinery.
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read technical manuals and production documents.
- Physical stamina for standing and lifting throughout shifts.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred
- Experience with measurement tools (micrometers, gauges, calipers).
- Background in metal fabrication or roofing materials.
