Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner/Landscaper/Maintenance to maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of various outdoor and indoor spaces. This role will include cleaning common areas in apartment buildings, picking up garbage around properties, mowing, wheel whipping, working inside apartments doing maintenance. Experience working with power tools is a definite asset. must have reliable vehicle and valid drivers licence. Winter duties would also consist of snow removal around the properties.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal
- Maintain outdoor areas through gardening, landscaping, and irrigation tasks
- Operate equipment such as excavators, power tools, and hand tools for landscape maintenance and construction projects
- Assist with horticultural activities including planting, pruning, and soil preparation
- Conduct routine inspections of grounds and facilities to identify maintenance needs
- Support construction or repair projects as needed using mechanical knowledge and appropriate tools
- Ensure all work areas are safe, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Perform basic equipment maintenance to ensure proper functioning of tools and machinery
Qualifications
- Prior experience with landscaping, gardening, or horticulture is preferred
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including irrigation systems and plant care
- Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of power tools and hand tools
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators is a plus
- Familiarity with construction or maintenance work is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in outdoor or indoor environments
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for operating equipment or transporting materials
