Audi West Ottawa is looking for a customer-focused and organized Parts Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will support our technicians, retail customers, and wholesale accounts by providing exceptional service, managing parts orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and promoting parts and accessories. Responsibilities include and are not limited to
Provide prompt and courteous service to Technicians, customers and to our wholesale accounts.
Handle telephone parts orders for wholesale and/or retail accounts and maintain records of all special-order parts.
Provide all the necessary information for special and emergency orders.
Write purchase orders for parts from outside suppliers
Promote additional parts sales by suggesting related items, seasonal lines
Initiate credit applications for new accounts and check credit requests
Inform customers when special orders are received
Ensure that all defective warranty parts, returned by Technicians are properly identified and placed accordingly in our Warranty return area.
Arrange for delivery or shipment of parts as required.
Prepare and cost parts invoices
Notify the Parts Manager of all inventory discrepancies.
Examine returned parts for defects and exchange or credit as required.
Periodically install accessories for a customer vehicle (ie- roof racks, floor mats, etc.).
Keep work area, warehouse and parts area cleaned and organized (sweeping floors, dusting shelves, etc.)
Work with tire coordinator when necessary: reach out to clients who need to replace damaged, worn out or punctured tires. Provide the necessary information for them to be able to purchase new tires.
Requirements
2-4 years of previous experience in automotive parts, customer service, or a related field is considered an asset.
Strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories;
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable using computer systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift and move automotive parts and tires when required.
Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
