We are looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our Quality Team. This role is responsible for inspecting machined and fabricated parts, verifying product conformity, completing quality documentation, and supporting calibration and non-conformance processes.
This role is well suited to someone with strong inspection experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to read drawings, use measurement tools, and work closely with production to ensure customer reequipments are met.

Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for verifying product conformity through accurate inspection, documentation, and quality control practices. This role ensures machined and fabricated parts meet drawing, customer, internal, and regulatory requirements before release.
The position supports the Quality Manager by identifying non-conformances, maintaining inspection records, supporting calibration, and assisting production with quality-related issues.
Position Objectives
- Complete required inspections accurately and on time.
- Verify parts against drawings, specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
- Identify, document, and escalate non-conformances.
- Maintain complete and accurate inspection and quality records.
- Support production with inspection guidance and measurement support.
- Maintain calibrated inspection tools and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inspection and Product Verification
- Perform receiving, in-progress, first-off, final, and outgoing inspections.
- Inspect parts using appropriate tools, gauges, fixtures, and methods.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, shop routers, and 3D models.
- Confirm required operations, sign-offs, deviations, and customer notes are complete.
- Document inspection results accurately and communicate concerns promptly.
2. Quality Documentation
- Prepare FAIRs, inspection reports, certificates, and required quality records.
- Review shop routers and production documentation for completeness.
- Maintain electronic and physical quality files for client orders.
- Ensure documentation is complete before product release.
- Support MRB documentation and non-conformance records.
3. Non-Conformance and Quality Support
- Raise non-conformances when parts, processes, or documentation do not meet requirements.
- Support the Quality Manager With investigation and corrective issue resolution.
- Assist operators with interpreting quality requirements and measurement methods.
- Communicate inspection issues that may affect quality, delivery, or customer requirements.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
4. Calibration and Inspection Equipment
- Calibrate inspection tooling and maintain calibration records.
- Monitor inspection tooling and QA equipment inventory.
- Flag tools or equipment requiring repair, replacement, or external calibration.
- Ensure inspection tools are accurate, controlled, and available for use.
5. Process and Compliance
- Follow internal quality procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
- Program and operate CMM and/or visual inspection systems as required.
- Support continuous improvement of inspection processes and documentation.
- Complete other quality-related duties as assigned.

- Accept, reject, hold, or flag parts pending review.

Experience and Key Skills
- College diploma in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- 2 to 5 years of inspection experience in precision manufacturing or machining parts.
- Strong ability to read drawings, specifications, and 3D models.
- Strong knowledge of inspection tools, gauges, and measurement methods.
- Sound understanding of GD&T.
- Experience with CMM and/or visual inspection systems is an asset.
- Knowledge of materials, coatings, machining processes, and manufacturing documentation.
- ISO 9001, AS9100, or controlled goods experience is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation discipline.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple inspection deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
