Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Prior experience in food service and familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Micros POS are highly valued. The Server will play a key role in delivering excellent hospitality, upselling menu items, and ensuring food safety standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and adherence to food safety regulations
- Assist in setting up tables, cleaning dining areas, and resetting tables for new guests
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions, special requests, and concerns promptly
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and restaurant policies
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to perform basic math for billing and cash handling purposes
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work during peak hours including weekends and holidays as needed
- Basic understanding of food preparation, serving techniques, and hospitality principles is desirable
