We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker/Installer to join our growing team. This role involves crafting, assembling, and installing custom cabinets and related woodworking projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and construction, with the ability to review plans and diagrams. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial spaces, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to deliver high-quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise fabrication and installation of cabinets.
- Cut, shape, assemble, and finish cabinetry using hand tools and power tools, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Install cabinets securely in various settings, including kitchens, bathrooms, and commercial spaces, adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform related tasks such as surface preparation, sanding, finishing, and touch-up work to ensure a professional appearance.
- Assist with other construction tasks such as framing, drywall installation, flooring, or painting as needed.
- Measure spaces accurately for proper fitting of cabinetry and coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety guidelines throughout all phases of work.
Experience
- Proven experience in cabinetry making or installation is preferred.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Familiarity with woodworking techniques including use of hand tools, power tools, jointer, planer, dovetail jig and CNC machinery is advantageous.
- Experience with painting, tiling, flooring installation, or general construction is a plus.
- Handyman experience or background in restoration projects will be considered an asset.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling and installation processes.
This role requires a flexible experienced person who is committed to quality and can work independently or part of a small team. There are options for flexible part time or full time.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
