About the Role
Chef Lauren Vincent (CLV) is a personal chef and prepared meal delivery service based in Vernon, BC. We serve a loyal base of busy families and professionals with weekly made-from-scratch meals. Elevated comfort food with a focus on local, seasonal ingredients.
We’re looking for a reliable, skilled prep cook to join our small kitchen team on a part-time basis. This is a calm, structured production environment. No dinner rushes, no late nights, just focused, quality prep work alongside a Red Seal certified chef.
What You’ll Do
- Prep proteins, vegetables, sauces, and components for weekly menus following detailed recipe cards
- Maintain accurate portion sizes and consistent quality
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards in a licensed commercial kitchen
- Package, label, and organize meals for client delivery
- Work collaboratively with the head chef to stay on schedule and on task
- Help with kitchen clean-down at the end of each shift
What We Offer
- $20–$21/hour based on experience
- Consistent Monday & Tuesday daytime shifts (no evenings, no weekends)

- Direct mentorship from a Red Seal certified chef
- Support obtaining your Food Safe Level 1 certification if needed
- Weekly variety. Menus rotate every week, so the work stays interesting
What We’re Looking For
- Some kitchen experience required (restaurant, catering, institutional, or home-based food business)
- Strong knife skills and comfort with batch cooking
- Detail-oriented; you follow recipes closely and care about consistency
- Reliable and punctual; this is a small team and your shift matters
- Food Safe Level 1 certification is an asset, but we can support you in getting it
- A genuine interest in food and a positive attitude in the kitchen
