Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Meat Cutter/Cashier to join our team. This dual-role position involves preparing high-quality meat products and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, butchery, barbecue and food safety standards, ensuring our customers receive the best products and service. Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of smoked meat according to established standards and customer specifications
- Package meat products securely for display or sale, maintaining proper food safety procedures
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their selections and answering questions about products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat department and cashier station
- Follow all food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices during food preparation and handling
- Restock display cases as needed to ensure product availability and attractive presentation
- Adhere to all safety protocols when working with sharp tools and heavy equipment
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in meat cutting or butchery, is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, packaging, and handling procedures
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Customer service experience in retail or grocery settings is advantageous
- Kitchen experience or background in food handling enhances ability to perform duties effectively

Cash tipout weekly - $200-250
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
