Overview
We are seeking a skilled SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining SMT equipment used in electronic assembly processes. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing procedures, electrical and mechanical systems, and the ability to interpret schematics. The SMT Operator plays a crucial part in ensuring high-quality production of electronic components and assemblies, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate SMT machinery, able to program SMT machine and load the feedersand run the SMT machine.
- Read and interpret schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions to accurately assemble components
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to perform precise adjustments and repairs on machinery or assemblies
- Monitor machine operation throughout the production process, troubleshooting issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems
- Perform routine inspections of assembled products to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain detailed documentation of production activities, machine settings, and any issues encountered
- Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
- Follow safety protocols related to electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, and the use of hand tools
Qualifications
- Experince in running SMT assembly line
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment
- Ability to read schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with assembly processes for electronic components or similar manufacturing tasks
- Knowledge of calipers and other precision measurement tools for quality control purposes
- Electrical experience is highly desirable; previous experience in electronics or manufacturing is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance in a fast-paced environment
