Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Arborist Assistant to support our tree care and landscape maintenance team. The Arborist Assistant will work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in tree work, rigging, and equipment operation, contributing to the health and safety of urban and natural landscapes.
Duties
- Assist with tree pruning, trimming, and removal using appropriate rigging techniques
- Support tasks including general site cleanup
- Maintain safety protocols during all operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment
- Support crew members in equipment setup, transportation, and logistical coordination
- Assist with site inspections to identify hazards or potential issues related to tree health or landscape features
Experience
- Prior experience or training in rigging, or landscape maintenance is a plus but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Strong interest in arboriculture, horticulture, or environmental sciences is desirable
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Excellent teamwork skills and attention to safety standards are essential
This position provides valuable practical experience in arboriculture and landscape management while supporting the health of trees and green spaces within communities.
Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
