Refresh Contracting & Cabinetry Ltd is a growing company offering general construction contracting services and high-quality custom cabinetry and millwork to commercial and residential markets.
We currently have an immediate requirement for experienced Carpenter to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, metals, etc...
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub-flooring and install walls and roofing systems/framing and insulate. Fit and install trim, doors, stairs, molding and hardware.
- Comply with local building codes, and health and safety regulations.
Experience:
- 2+ years residential/commercial construction experience;
- Journeyperson certification is not required but would be an asset;
- Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail and the ability to perform carpentry tasks with the highest quality and standards are a must;
- Ability to work safely and effectively as a team and over see apprentices/labourers;
- Ability to stand for prolong periods, climb, pull, stoop and lift heavy objects;
- Valid drivers’ licence and clean drivers abstract required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
