About Us
White Pines Academy is a specialized skill-building centre in Barrie dedicated to supporting adults (18+) with autism and intellectual disabilities. Position Overview
We are hiring energetic, creative, and outgoing Recreation & Life Skills Facilitators for casual, part-time, and full-time positions. This role is about leading fun, engaging programs and building genuine connections with adults with autism — not passive caregiving.

- Provide personal care support only as needed (e.g. toileting and hygiene)
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and positive environment
- Follow individual support plans and collect basic data when required
- Collaborate with our small, supportive team
Qualifications
Required:
- Diploma or degree in Developmental Services Worker (DSW), Recreation & Leisure, ABA, Child & Youth Care, or related field
- Experience running activities and programs with adults with autism
- Energetic, creative, and proactive personality — you love taking initiative and leading fun experiences
- Strong communication, rapport-building, and teamwork skills
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Screening (or willing to obtain)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s licence (G or G2 preferred)
Assets:
