Overview
We are seeking a full-time, in-office Senior Real Estate Conveyancer for our Victoria office. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of recent B.C. real estate conveyancing experience and be comfortable managing purchase, sale, mortgage, refinance, and related closing files from opening through reporting. This is not a remote or hybrid position.
Responsibilities
- Opening, organizing, and managing residential real estate files from intake through closing and reporting.
- Preparing purchase, sale, mortgage, refinance, transfer, and related conveyancing documents.
- Reviewing contracts, title searches, tax information, strata documentation, lender instructions, payout statements, undertakings, and closing requirements.
- Ordering and reviewing title searches, tax certificates, strata forms, insurance information, and other due diligence materials.
- Liaising with clients, realtors, lenders, mortgage brokers, opposing counsel/notaries, strata managers, and internal lawyers/staff.
- Preparing statements of adjustments, trust cheque requisitions, reporting letters, and lender/client final reports.
- Attending to LTSA, BC Registry, and conveyancing software tasks.
- Tracking deadlines and closing steps in a busy real estate practice.
- Maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and professional communication at all times.
- Assisting with general file, document, and office workflow as required.
Required qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of recent B.C. real estate conveyancing experience in a law firm, notary office, or comparable legal environment.
- Strong working knowledge of B.C. residential purchase, sale, mortgage, and refinance transactions.
- Experience with LTSA, BC Online, lender instructions, payout requests, trust-related closing steps, and reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple files, deadlines, and closing dates with accuracy and composure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and discretion with confidential information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal/conveyancing software.
Assets:
- Legal Administrative Assistant or paralegal certificate.
- Experience with Unity, LTSA Web Filing, Appara
- Commercial real estate or corporate transaction experience

Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
