Spruce Grove Pharmacy is an independent pharmacy that has been serving the community for over 15 years. Our clinically focused pharmacy is looking to complement our team with a highly motivated pharmacy assistant with amazing customer service skills.
Job Summary:
To assist with the technical functions of dispensing prescriptions, assist as appropriate in the delivery of pharmacy services and participate in the maintenance and operations of the pharmacy as described by the Pharmacy Standards of Practice, and to provide superior, timely, and pleasant service to customers.
Key responsibilities of a Pharmacy Assistant include:
- Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling
- Data entry of patient care information into Kroll
- Third Party adjudication where required and necessary
- Accurate dispensing prescription medications
- Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems
- General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary
- Handling customer prescription pick up.
- Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required in the Pharmacy
Qualifications:
- Accredited Pharmacy Assistant program is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service experience
- Strong motivation to succeed
- Proficient computer/data/entry skills
- Competitive compensation based on experience
- Experienced in working with Pharmacy Software Kroll is preferred.
Pharmacy hours:
8 hour shift
Weekdays (except Thursdays): 9 to 7
Thursdays: 9 to 8
Saturdays: 9-5
Sunday/Holidays: Closed
