Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Your responsibilities will include managing patient appointments, maintaining accurate medical records, and providing exceptional administrative support to healthcare providers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care while honing your skills in a dynamic medical environment. Most weeks you will work monday to Thursday, but you may need to work one friday a month.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a positive and professional atmosphere at the front desk
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using Accuro
- Collect and verify patient information, ensuring accuracy in electronic medical records (EMRs)
- Handle multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls and taking messages as needed
- Assist with billing, insurance verification, and payment processing to support administrative workflows
- Maintain organized medical files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive patient information
- Support clinical staff by preparing exam rooms, sterilizing equipment, and managing supply inventories
Skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMRs), especially the Accuro software platform
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately document patient interactions
- Previous experience as a OB GYN MOA in office setting is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
- Solid background in medical office experience or administrative roles within healthcare environments
- Excellent communication skills for managing front desk operations and multi-line phone systems
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with office equipment and administrative procedures essential for smooth daily operations

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
