As the face of Wafflato, the Host is essential in making a great first impression. You'll work closely with the service team to ensure a smooth flow of guests, creating a warm, welcoming, and relaxed atmosphere. Your attention to detail and dedication to guest satisfaction will contribute to a seamless dining experience, ensuring our guests feel valued from the moment they walk through the door until the moment they leave.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Guest Service & Interaction
● Warmly greet and seat guests.
● Manage the waitlist during busy periods.
● Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries.
● Assist guests with take-out orders, including packaging and payment processing.
● Handle guest concerns effectively, with or without management support.
● Provide recommendations on menu items and promotions, sharing product knowledge in an appealing and informative way.
Dining Room Operations:
● Prepare and clean the dining room, including all equipment, before, during, and after each service.
● Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host stand.
● Sanitize and organize menus, high chairs, and booster seats throughout service.
● Conduct regular washroom checks and restock supplies as needed.
● Assist the service team by helping to clear, set, and clean tables, glassware, and utensils. ● Follow all company cash-handling policies and procedures with accuracy and integrity.
Team Support
● Use the POS system correctly and adhere to all company policies.
● Help the service team by running food and beverages to tables as needed.
● Communicate clearly and respectfully with teammates
Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
