Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Childcare Assistant to support the daily needs of children in our childcare facility. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and grow. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to follow safety protocols diligently. Responsibilities
- Supervise children during playtime, activities, and mealtimes to ensure safety and engagement
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning and social development
- Support children with their daily routines, including diapering, toileting, and dressing as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by sanitizing toys, surfaces, and activity areas regularly
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's daily experiences and any concerns
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a secure environment for children at all times
- Support team members in managing classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a childcare setting, school, or similar environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of child development principles is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children and build trusting relationships
- Ability to remain patient, attentive, and adaptable in a dynamic environment
- Certifications such as CPR or First Aid are advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary

Pay: $15.00-$29.20 per hour
