- Audit year-end payroll processes to ensure accuracy and legislative compliance.
- Review T4 preparation and year-end payroll reporting.
- Provide guidance on CRA payroll legislation, WorkSafeBC requirements, and construction payroll best practices.
- Advise on payroll matters involving both unionized and non-union employees.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen payroll controls and improve payroll processes.
- Support the internal payroll team by providing practical recommendations and subject matter expertise.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Significant payroll experience within the construction industry, preferably civil construction.

- Experience working across multiple operating companies, business units, or legal entities.
- Strong knowledge of:
- CRA payroll legislation and compliance

- T4 preparation and reporting
- WorkSafeBC requirements
- Payroll controls and compliance best practices
- Strong understanding of the unique payroll requirements and compliance considerations within the construction industry.

- Experience with Vista by Viewpoint is considered an asset but is not required.
- Previous in-house construction payroll experience is preferred; however, candidates with significant payroll consulting or advisory experience supporting construction organizations will also be considered.
Why this Opportunity?
- Flexible consulting engagement of approximately 10 hours per month for 6 months.
- Fully remote opportunity, with a preference for candidates based in British Columbia.
- Opportunity to support a large, established construction organization with a complex payroll environment.
- High-impact advisory engagement where you'll help strengthen payroll controls, compliance, and year-end processes.
