Overview
Stratford KIA is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Automotive Detailer to join our team. This individual plays a key role in maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and organization of our dealership’s lot, while also supporting vehicle cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and takes pride in keeping vehicles and the dealership looking their best.
Key Responsibilities –
- Wash, clean, vacuum, wax, and detail new, used, and customer vehicles to dealership standards.
- Perform interior and exterior detailing, including shampooing carpets, cleaning upholstery, polishing surfaces, and dressing tires.
- Prepare vehicles for showroom display, customer delivery, and photography.
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and report any damage or deficiencies to management.
- Ensure all vehicles are fueled (if required), free of debris, and presentation-ready.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the detailing bay, equipment, and supplies.
- Safely move vehicles between the detail area, service department, showroom, and customer delivery areas.
- Assist with receiving and preparing newly arrived inventory for sale.
- Follow all safety procedures and properly handle detailing chemicals and equipment.
- Monitor detailing supplies and notify management when inventory requires replenishment.
- Complete additional cleaning, detailing, and dealership support tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive detailing experience is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physically capable of standing, bending, lifting, and moving vehicles throughout the day.
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles is considered an asset.
