Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Roofer/Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be actively involved in installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on various types of buildings. Your hands-on skills and construction experience will contribute to delivering high-quality results while ensuring safety and efficiency on every project. Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
- Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials for efficient workflow
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials such as shingles, plywood, and metal sheets to ensure timely progress
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately execute roofing plans
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing, trimming, or other structural components as needed
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, saws, and measuring devices
- Construction experience with a focus on roofing or general building projects
- Strong carpentry skills for framing, cutting, and fitting materials accurately
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings confidently
- Experience with caulking techniques for waterproofing applications
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual labour throughout the workday
- Handyman experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in various repair tasks
