Your Opportunity!
Knollcrest Lodge is recruiting Permanent Part-Time Dietary Aides - Every Other Weekend to join our team in Milverton. In this role, you will report to the Food Services Manager. The regular schedule includes two weekend shifts per pay period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals and beverages according to residents’ nutritional care plans and dietary requirements
- Set up meal and snack services and ensure food is served at the correct temperature
- Follow food safety, infection prevention and sanitation practices
- Clean and sanitize dining areas, serveries, carts, dishes, utensils and equipment
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Current Safe Food Handling Certificate
- Food service experience or training
- Previous experience working in Long Term Care setting is an asset
- Ability to read and write in English, and understand verbal and written instructions in English
- Strong team player with the ability to cooperate with colleagues and department heads
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with other colleagues
- Ability to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check completed within six months prior to hire
