Diamond Dust Acres, near Enchant, AB, is looking to hire Class 1 or Class 3 Drivers for Harvest. This position is a term contract starting August 15th and ending approximately October 31st, with potential to stay on full-time for the right candidate. Job is a 12 hour shift, Monday to Saturday, some night shifts will be required. One hot meal per day provided during harvest.
Job Description:
· Operating Class 1 tractor / trailers including Super-Bs, End Dumps, and flat deck trailers
· Operating Class 3 trucks
· Perform basic maintenance on class 1 and 3 vehicles including oil changes, greasing, filter changes, fix air lines, repairs on trailer wiring, and adjusting brakes
· Proper load securement
· Complete all required paperwork
· Ensuring all operations are completed safely
Candidate Requirements:
· Alberta Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s license & supply 5 year Driver’s abstract
· Be able to perform preventative maintenance on truck and trailers
· Must have own transportation to and from work
· Must be fluent in English (oral and written)
· Farm experience will be an asset
Wage:
Class 3 drivers will start at $28/hr plus Bonus, depending on experience
Class 1 drivers will start at $29/hr plus bonus, depending on experience
