Job Summary
Are you passionate about technology and love helping people? In this role, you will be the face of Uniway Computers, helping walk-in customers choose the perfect computer or tech gear, while also performing basic hardware/software troubleshooting and repairs. No advanced repair experience? No problem! We provide comprehensive on-the-job training.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Sales: Welcome customers, understand their tech needs, and recommend the best laptop, desktop, components, or accessories.
- Technical Support & Diagnostics: Perform basic diagnostic checks on customer devices (PCs, laptops) to identify issues.
- Basic Repairs & Upgrades: Handle simple hardware upgrades (e.g., installing RAM, SSDs) and basic software fixes (e.g., OS reinstallation, virus removal) after completing company training.
- Store Operations: Maintain product displays, manage store inventory, and ensure the shop floor is clean and organized.
- Customer Service: Answer inquiries over the phone and in-person, providing clear and friendly explanations without heavy technical jargon.
Qualifications & Skills
- Customer First: Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or hospitality is highly preferred.
- Tech Enthusiast: A strong interest in computers and tech gadgets; basic knowledge of Windows/Mac OS and computer parts is a big plus.
- Eager to Learn: Willingness to learn basic computer repair and technical skills through our internal training program.
- Communication: Friendly, approachable, and able to communicate clearly with customers of all tech-savviness levels.
- Language: Fluent in English.
