What You'll Be Doing
As a Junior Maintenance / Porter, you'll help keep our lodge looking its best while supporting guests and the operations team. Duties include:
- Assisting with general property maintenance and repairs
- Moving furniture and equipment for events and guest needs
- Keeping guest areas, docks, grounds, and buildings clean and organized
- Lawn care, landscaping, and seasonal outdoor work
- Garbage, recycling, and waste management
- Setting up and tearing down event spaces
- Assisting with deliveries and inventory
- Snow removal and ice management (seasonal)
- Supporting housekeeping and other departments when needed
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests
- Helping ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and staff
What We're Looking For
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all seasons
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and being on your feet throughout the day
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is an asset
- Previous maintenance, landscaping, construction, or hospitality experience is an asset, but we're happy to train the right person
- Valid driver's licence is considered an asset
- Availability to work weekends
