Position Overview:
We are looking for a driven and results-oriented individual to join our team in an Inside Sales role. In this role, you will sell our waste, recycling, and compost collection services to new and existing customers, grow accounts, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure safe and efficient service delivery. Some evening and weekend availability may be required as assigned.
Our diverse fleet includes heavy-duty waste collection vehicles (front load, side load, and roll-off garbage trucks), specialized equipment (septic trucks, hook lifts, 4500/5500 trucks), Class 1 tractor trailers (walking floor and tanker configurations), and light-duty support vehicles.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Sell our waste, recycling, and compost collection services to new and existing customers.
- Respond to and qualify inbound sales inquiries and convert them into new business.
- Grow existing accounts by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities for additional services.
- Prepare and present quotes and proposals in line with the pricing model, and close sales.
- Build and manage a sales pipeline, following up consistently on open opportunities and leads.
- Meet or exceed assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
- Set up new customers, sites, and additional pick-ups in the route software.
- Respond to phone, text, or email inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate customer, lead, and sales activity records in the CRM and online systems.
- Input data into the electronic system daily, ensuring entries are completed on time.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business or sales is an asset.
- Two or more years of inside sales experience, ideally in a B@B or service-based environment.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet daily deadlines.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, CRM, and dispatch software).
- Willingness to learn new processes and procedures.
