Half-time Educational Assistant (3 hours per day)

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Experience working with students with diverse needs
- Understanding of the escalation cycle

Ability to form strong relationships with students,
- Seeing the best in every student in an inclusive school setting
- Assisting and supporting students through individual support plans and/or behaviour support plans
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults

Willingness to work as part of a team, take direction and follow student and classroom programs

Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed

Ability to work in a flexible learning environment and make adjustments for classroom or individual child needs

Supervision duties (recess, classroom, lunch, etc.)

We will require all successful applicants to provide a police record check with vulnerable sector check and an intervention record check
- Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience
