Wilcox Door Service Inc. is a certified Indigenous-owned company and a trusted commercial and industrial overhead door and loading dock service provider in the Greater Toronto Area since 1912. We support warehouses, manufacturing, and logistics facilities with overhead doors, loading docks, high-speed doors, and gate systems.
We are seeking a Service Coordinator to support our unionized field technicians by coordinating service activities.
The Role – Service Coordinator
The Service Coordinator is responsible for scheduling, dispatching, and coordinating service work to ensure efficient operations and high levels of customer service. This role works closely with technicians, customers, and management.
This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, experience in field service coordination, and comfort working in a unionized service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch service calls across the GTHA (Greater Toronto Hamilton Area)
- Coordinate daily service activities and adjust schedules as needed
- Communicate job details, parts requirements, and site information to technicians
- Liaise with customers regarding scheduling, updates, and service completion
- Support service documentation, work orders, and reporting
- Assist with job prioritization and emergency service coordination
- Maintain accurate records in service management systems
- Collaborate with Service Manager, technicians, and office staff
- Support on-call scheduling and after-hours coordination as required
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 2–5 years’ experience in service coordination, dispatch, or field service administration
- Experience supporting union trades or industrial service teams (preferred)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Proficiency with scheduling software, ERP, or field service systems
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Assets:
- Experience in overhead door, loading dock, construction, or industrial service environments
- Familiarity with unionized workplaces
- Technical aptitude or understanding of mechanical service work
