Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Plumber to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in plumbing and related trades, providing a foundation for a rewarding career in the construction and maintenance industry. The Apprentice Plumber will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to develop essential skills, gain practical knowledge, and contribute to various plumbing projects. Responsibilities
- Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Support team members in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively during various tasks
- Help with cutting, fitting, assembling, and installing pipes and fixtures according to specifications
- Participate in site preparation, including basic carpentry and construction tasks as needed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times
- Learn to troubleshoot plumbing issues using schematics and basic math skills
- Assist with routine maintenance of plumbing systems and related mechanical equipment
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, carpentry, HVAC, or construction is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings with guidance from supervisors
- Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required in plumbing tasks
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions including standing for extended periods
- Willingness to work outdoors or in confined spaces as needed
- Prior construction or maintenance experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for all necessary skills
