Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times.
- Handle food items with care, following proper food handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and special events.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and meal preparation processes.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a restaurant setting.
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
