Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and supporting various financial functions across the organization. This role requires proficiency in multiple accounting software platforms and a strong foundation in bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial analysis. The Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Perform data entry related to financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Reconcile accounts regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Calculate Semi monthly payroll, calculating tax deductions and processing EFTs and filing paystubs.
- Conduct account analysis to monitor financial performance and support budgeting activities.
- Prepare and file quarterly IFTA Reports, ensuring accurate fuel tax reporting and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting processes and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Maintain organized records of all financial transactions for audit purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles with familiarity in various accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, payroll processing, and financial reporting.
- Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Proficiency in math and analytical skills for account analysis and budgeting support.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
