Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Glazier / Journeyman Glazier – Commercial Glass & Aluminum Installer to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial glass and aluminum systems on various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in construction, craftsmanship, and building techniques, with opportunities for growth into a fully licensed journeyman position. This is a paid position suitable for individuals eager to develop specialized skills in the glazing industry.
Duties
- Assist in the installation of commercial glass panels, aluminum framing, and storefront systems according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Use hand tools such as drills, saws, levels, and caulking guns to perform precise installations.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and placement of materials.
- Prepare work sites by measuring, cutting, and fitting materials to specifications.
- Perform caulking and sealing to ensure weather-tight installations.
- Support in restoration projects involving glass replacement or aluminum repairs.
- Assist with construction painting, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, or tile laying as needed for project completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper tool handling procedures.
Requirements
- Prior construction experience or familiarity with carpentry is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and their safe use on job sites.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation or means of commuting to job sites.
- A positive attitude with a desire to grow within the glazing trade through hands-on learning and training opportunities.

Pay: $20.00-$38.00 per hour
