Role Summary:
Our Regina, SK Branch is looking for an experienced Junior Fire Alarm Technician to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning or building their career in the fire and life safety industry. Working under the guidance of experienced technicians, the Junior Fire Alarm Technician will assist with the inspection, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and installation of fire alarm and monitoring systems. The successful candidate will be safety-focused, eager to learn, customer-service oriented and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of fire alarm and monitoring systems.
- Assist with troubleshooting fire alarm system issues and identifying appropriate corrective actions.
- Support senior technicians with service calls, repairs, upgrades and system installations.
- Assist with completing work orders, inspection reports and other required documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain company tools, testing equipment, vehicles and assigned inventory.
- Follow all company, provincial and local health and safety requirements.
- Participate in training, certification programs and ongoing technical development.
- Be available to participate in emergency or after-hours on-call service as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Certifications & Experience)
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in electrical, fire alarm, security, construction, low-voltage systems or a related technical field is considered an asset.
- A willingness to learn fire alarm inspection, testing, installation and repair procedures.
- Completion of, or willingness to complete, applicable fire alarm training and certification programs.
- Basic understanding of hand tools, power tools and electrical testing equipment.
- Valid driver’s licence with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass required background and reference checks.

- Reliable, organized and adaptable in changing work environments.
- Comfortable using mobile devices, work order systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting equipment, working on ladders and working in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions.
Compensation, Probation and Benefits
- Starting wage of $20.00 per hour.
