About Us
We are a from-scratch bakery and frozen custard shop focused on handcrafted pastries, specialty desserts, and exceptional customer experiences. We're looking for someone who is passionate about coffee, specialty beverages, and hospitality to help us build and execute a memorable drink program.
Position Overview
This role combines front-of-house barista responsibilities with beverage development. You'll help create and refine our coffee drinks, hot cocoa, lemonades, refreshers and specialty seasonal drink offerings while delivering outstanding service to guests.
Responsibilities
Barista Duties
- Prepare espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, and specialty and seasonal beverages
- Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards
- Provide friendly and welcoming customer service
- Operate POS system and handle transactions
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
Drink Menu Development
- Develop signature hot and iced beverages that complement our pastry and dessert menu
- Create seasonal and limited-time drink offerings
- Test recipes, document specifications, and establish preparation standards
- Assist with pricing and menu planning
- Source ingredients and recommend new products
- Train team members on drink preparation and consistency
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience preferred
- Knowledge of espresso extraction, milk steaming, and drink preparation
- Creative mindset with interest in beverage development
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to keep up with trends and have a creative mindset
- Availability for mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
